A little bit about the two of us who make up Just Fur Them Pet Sitting and Home Services. This is my full-time gig but when needed and available, My husband Ryan acts as back up coverage. We do team together to handle larger care needs when requested (such as: specialized care, 2+ large dogs, or large clean up services).

My name is Katie and I have always considered myself to be more of an animal person than a people person. Some people may classify me as an introvert, and maybe there’s a little something to that. No matter what the type of animal though, I truly have a love and interest in caring for pets. I have also had animals around me for most of my life (cats and dogs). I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter and have experience caring for kittens to larger cats, and puppies to small-to-medium sized dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens etc..

My husband Ryan works full-time as an HR Consultant but he has always had a special place in his heart for animals and was raised in a family that cared for dogs and raised puppies (this included: German Shepherds, Dachshunds, Bichon Frise and Shih Tzus). Since then; in his adult years he has cared for multiple felines (cats) of all ages, along with the cherished 11+ years of adventures he was able to share with his best friend (“Freud”). Ryan has long stated that if he had to choose between his brother and his dog, that his response would be… “Sorry Brother”!

Over the past 11+ years we have made for a great team as we have experienced providing pet specific care and attention to all shapes and sizes. From active and busy puppies to terminally ill cats and dogs; following the guidance of trusted veterinarians we have experience providing naturopathic care, and tirelessly worked to extend the quality of life for our own animals. We have always been mindful about their experience and level of comfort and maintained an awareness of when enough is enough. Those sad days are tough ones, but the love and adventure with animals is just so worth it.

In recent years we have adopted into our family another great dog, who happens to be a tripawd. To care for him appropriately we have learned new approaches and tools to best provide him with the best of care for his life and our adventures with him. Also, In dealing with our own pets’ health challenges and ailments we have provided; post-surgery care (tumor removal, eye-surgery), management of allergies, cancer treatments & alternatives, and feline respiratory disease.

With our story and genuine affection for animals and following completion of our goal to returning to the Spokane region, we felt that it’s time to share the knowledge, skills and interests we have and offer the community our pet sitting services. We feel this is a strength of ours, and we believe enriching the lives of our community’s animals is a calling we cannot ignore. We believe that your pets deserve all the TLC they can get, even when you cannot be there to offer it.

 

This service we are offering we do not take lightly. We are aware that your pet(s) is a loved member of your family and deserves the best care.
